I was awarded a Master in Arts in
Legal Translation from City University, London. I
am a trained
and qualified police
interpreter having passed
the Metropolitan Police
Test (Diploma in Police Interpreting) which is a full-day
six-part language examination. It includes sight translation, simultaneous interpreting
(English into Polish) and taking and translating witness
statements. I also hold a Diploma in Translation
(Polish to English) from the Chartered Institute
of Linguists. This is a three-part written examination at postgraduate level which tests the ability to write at native-speaker level.
I also hold a Higher National
Diploma in Computer Studies.
I have interpreted for
a wide range of agencies including social services, law enforcement, solictors firms and law courts.
I have over
10 years of experience of interpreting heavy
plant tests (excavator, ride-on roller, telescopic
to name a few).
In the past,
theory tests (LGV, HGV). I also have experience of interpreting in medical settings.
